Confidentiality
1.1. The Ark Linux team will never, ever share your data with anyone without your explicit consent, unless section 5 applies.
1.2. The Ark Linux team will do everything in its possibilities to keep your data safe; however, we cannot be held responsible if anyone manages to break into our server and steals your data.
Editing
2. Your user account enables you to edit some parts of the arklinux.org website. You are not allowed to abuse this privilege to deface arklinux.org, for example by adding advertising or hidden links to improve your search engine ranking to any of our pages. Furthermore you are not allowed to send unwanted spam messages to other users of the arklinux.org system.
Other Uses
3. Don't mistreat other users of the system. We're trying to keep arklinux.org a friendly system for everyone.
Remain Legal
4. You are not allowed to add copyrighted, non-distributable content to forum posts, wiki pages, etc. unless you're legally allowed to (e.g. if you're the copyright holder, or if your usage falls under Fair Use).
Spamming
5. We operate on a strict zero-tolerance, one-strike policy against spammers. By violating section(s) 2, 3, and/or 4, you agree that:
5.1. Your user account will be permanently deleted, and you will be permanently banned from all arklinux.org servers.
5.2. You did not keep your side of this agreement, therefore we are not bound to keep ours; we may publish your data in any way we find appropriate.
5.3. You void your right to privacy with any 3rd parties, e.g. you agree that your ISP, affiliate program provider, etc. is allowed to share all available information on you with us. Furthermore, you agree that, as per section 5.2, we can use this data in any way we find appropriate, including but not limited to sharing with 3rd parties.
5.4. Spamming and similar defacements are treated as theft of service, and will be reported to the proper authorities as such.
5.5. You agree to donate 1000 Swiss Francs or an equivalent amount in any other currency to the project for the work of deleting your changes. If you made any money by spamming us and/or our users (e.g. by posting a link to an affiliate program), you agree that the money will be given to our project instead of you; furthermore, you will be charged a punitive fee of 10 times the amount of money you made.
5.6. If any legal measures are needed to enforce 5. 1. to 5. 5., you furthermore agree to cover all costs of these measures, including but not limited to attorney charges.
Other Violations
6. If you violate sections 3 or 4, you will be warned by an admin. Repeated, severe, intentional violations of sections 3 and/or 4 (where intent is determined by the Ark Linux team) may result in the same consequences outlined in section 5, or parts thereof.
Closing Regulations
7. If any parts of the above terms are ruled invalid in a court of law, the remaining parts shall remain intact.
