Web browsing
From ArkWiki
You'd like to browse the World Wide Web but you're not entirely sure how to do that. Well, that's what this part of the guide is for.
First, we need to launch Konqueror or (if you installed it-see the Installing/Updating Software guide for details on how to do so) Firefox:
Next, type www.arklinux.com into the address or location bar:
You will see the Ark Linux home page come up. Next, we need to find a link to do what we want to do on the Ark Linux page. See the navigation links under the Ark logo? We will go to see the latest news from the Developer Blogs, so click Developer Blogs:
Read the information here if you want to. Next, we will search for the Ark Linux web site and go to it that way. Notice in the upper right corner how it says Google in the white box. Click in there and type Ark Linux:
Press enter, and click the Ark Linux web site link:
There is one more feature you will be interested in if you use Konqueror, that is to have Konqueror trick the web site you're on into thinking it's a different browser. Why would we want to do this? Because some web sites work in only certain browsers. Follow the next snapshot to change the "browser identification":
